DALLAS TATTOO EXPO

Location: Irving Convention Center at Las Colinas

The 3rd annual Dallas Tattoo Expo is in Irving this weekend at the Irving Convention Center. There will be an overload of art and entertainment at this show. Prepare to see some of the worlds greatest tattoo artists and unique vendors all under one roof. There will be raffles, chances to win free gear, food, beverages and beautiful works of art by some of the top tattoo artists. From what we hear, Friday is the best day to come and book your appointment for the weekend, as most artists will fill up. Each day there will be a tattoo contest, so come and enter yours. Beyond tattoos there is entertainment! On Saturday at 5 p.m. come enjoy a Burlesque Show, and 6 p.m. a jawdropping Sideshow. Sunday Funday will showcase a Pin-Up contest at 3:30 p.m. and another Sideshow at 4:30 p.m.

JUNETEENTH TWO-DAY CELEBRATION

For more than 21 years, the city of Irving has hosted a Juneteenth event, commemorating the date that Texans first learned of President Abraham Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation. Come and join the city on June 19-20 for an expanded celebration of the 150th Anniversary of the state holiday at Jackie Townsell Bear Creek Heritage Center.
