With our hands folded in prayer, hugging a loved one or wiping our tears, we watched this week as one by one our beloved Dallas officers were remembered.  How do you move on from this?  In searching my soul for answers and ideas to help heal the wounds of this tragedy, I always return to my hometown roots to care for those in my sphere of influence.  It’s a pretty good start.  Talk to your neighbors.  Visit loved ones.  Wave to strangers.  Mow your neighbor’s yard.  Bring groceries to the elderly.  Because when we can all come together we create stronger cities, states and an overall country. But, it first starts in us.

While you’re in your home town this weekend, or if you’re visiting here in Irving, why not take in some down home music to soothe your soul.
