Summer is here and like many of us, our Summer plans and trips have had to be canceled or put on hold. But, after months of quarantine, you are probably starting to look for a fun destination that is driveable, a nice pillow to rest your head on, and a staycation that is beyond memorable. Well, let me introduce you to the Texican Court, located in the heart of Dallas/Fort Worth.

Today’s #FoodieFriday blog falls on Juneteenth. Considering recent events, I have been moved to dig a little deeper into this historical day, and I’d encourage you to do the same. You’re certain to learn something new. Snow Cones of Irving

Tuesday, June 9, 2020 2:00 PM by Kayla Mansour

When it comes to icy concoctions, there are plenty of options in Irving to keep you busy trying them all season long. Summertime equals snow cones in my book. Lucky for you, I'm very pregnant, VERY HOT, and craving those finely ground icy treats on the regular! So, enjoy this guide to Irving's snow cones.

Irving’s tried & true restauranteurs have worked hard to keep us fat & happy during the last few months with to-go orders, quarantine family packs, and the important essentials like toilet paper and cocktail kits. Melt my heart. We sure owe them a debt of gratitude.

And even amid a pandemic, some shiny & new gems have been popping up too. Here are five new restaurant openings that need to be on your radar if you’re not already in the know.

Trout Almondine, Ahi Towers, baked king crab legs with spicy tobiko aioli, Korean bbq marinated beef, peanut butter ice cream sandwiches and more deliciousness await you at these new eateries. Let’s welcome them to the flavorhood and show them some love. One bite, and you’ll form a mutual admiration and long-lasting relationship.
