Fluffy & Fido's Irving Staycation

My Bear is the absolute love of my life! My Bear is not really a bear, of course,  but actually, a dog that looks like a bear, a teddy bear to be exact, and he’s got me wrapped around his fluffy paw. He knows how to pull the puppy-dog eyes to tug at my heart when he sees me packing my suitcase, like these guys...

Once only fed to the poor and prisoners, the lobster has transformed from pauper to prince of your plate in a true rags-to-riches tale worth celebrating. Lobsters are famous for mating for life - a myth that was first publicly popularized on an episode of Friends courtesy of Phoebe Buffay who said, “You know what, you can actually see old lobster couples walkin’ around their tank, ya know, holding claws!” Peeps, please don’t go looking for your “lobster” as they’re serial monogamists, having one exclusive, but very short-term, relationship

Takeout Time at The Ginger Man

Tuesday, September 22, 2020 10:00 AM by Kayla Mansour

Welcome back to town, The Ginger Man! Let's celebrate with a post all about this beloved watering hole in Las Colinas. If you frequent the Water Street district, you'll for sure be rejoicing that this lovely waterside dining establishment is back (with temporary hours). The patio sits right on Lake Carolyn offering great people-watching, sweet views of the Omni Las Colinas, and all water sports activities that float on by. You might have spent some time there enjoying an adult beverage, but let's talk about some food options that are takeout worthy.

With September winding down and fall nearly upon us, it’s not too late to get in some “self-care” during #NationalWellnessMonth.

Tuesday Tamales

Tuesday, September 15, 2020 10:00 AM by Kayla Mansour

Give Taco Tuesday a siesta and try Tamale Tuesday! Tacos get a lot of love, but what about their cousin... the TAMALE! If you're anything like me, you've probably purchased a tamale or even a dozen from a complete stranger. Yep, guilty! I'm still not opposed to that idea, but in case you're wondering who has amazing tamales around Irving, keep on reading. Feel free to add your favorites in the comments. #TakeoutTuesday
