If you’ve been reading our blog for a while, you’d know that we love our food holidays here in Irving. Why? Because we have so many restaurants to celebrate them at! And today, in honor of the National Fried Chicken Day, we’re listing 5 of the best fried chicken places in town. So scroll down (+drool) and take notes!

As classic as the era it was popularized in, which was the Roaring Twenties, Martinis are one of the most well-known cocktails in the world. Made with gin and vermouth (or vodka and vermouth, also known as vodka martinis), the cocktail has been known as an elegant drink that is made for the likings of James Bond. “Shaken, not stirred” – remember that iconic phrase? Well, in celebration of the National Martini Day, suit up, channel your inner Bond, and have a glass or two at some of our favorite spots in town!

Happy National Donut Day! You know we love our foodie holidays here in Irving. Any reason to celebrate our favorite foods, right? Well today, we’re celebrating the country’s most beloved fried (or sometimes baked, ugh, okay we won’t judge) dough confection a.k.a donuts! Here are some of our favorite donut places in Irving. Take notes and get ready to stuff your face with these delicious concoctions of sugar, yeast, and magic!

“Life is too short to eat basic food,” – y’all know that famous quote right? No? Oh, right, that’s because we just made it up! With so many bold flavors and daring combinations of food available around town, this quote is so relatable to us here in Irving. I mean y’all, we have everything from boozy milkshakes with a slice of pie on top, to a 46 ounce-steak that’s as big as our face! Scroll down and read more.

I once heard someone say, “Motherhood is powered by love, fueled by coffee, and sustained by wine.” This quote got me chuckling, but I don’t think it’s entirely true. We moms run on so many other awesome things that we might not always get, but we love so dearly like mani-pedis, chocolate, movies, and late night Netflix binge when everyone else is asleep. So to celebrate Mother’s Day this year, we’ve put together a fun itinerary, featuring some of the things mentioned above, for moms to make the most of the holiday in Irving.

The originator of the National Empanada Day might be unknown, but we’re glad that she or he came up with it because we’ll take any excuse to eat these folded pastries – baked or fried – any day! With its famously diverse food scene, the city of Irving prides itself as one of the best, if not THE ultimate destination for empanadas in DFW, with two empanaderias topping online charts and reviews for more than 5 years and counting! Without further ado, here they are!
