Along with their dining menu, the cocktail menu is just as impressive. While you can't go wrong with any of their signature cocktails, one of my favorite things about Thirsty Lion is their special seasonal drink list that supports a national or local charity. While these drink specials don't last long, they are delicious and help with a good cause. Ask your server or bartender what is currently available on the donation drink list and you will not be disappointed with these creative sips.
Hugo’s Invitados

When looking for the best selection of tequila and mezcal in Irving, Hugo’s Invitados is the place to go. With their fresh, modern Mexican dishes, you can expect delicious and refreshing cocktails made with high-quality ingredients. Between a library of elixirs and an array of fresh purees, peppers, and agave for natural sweetness, the bartender is ready to create one of the best cocktails you'll find in Irving. Their cocktail menu almost resembles a juice bar and you definitely can't go wrong with any of their menu items, but don’t be afraid to create your own unique drink with their incredible selections of liquors. If you want to keep the traditional flavors of Mexico, go for one of their tequilas or mezcals. The main difference between the two is that tequila is made from blue agave and comes from the state of Jalisco, while mezcal is made from any agave variation in several states of Mexico. Mezcal often has a smoky flavor that is acquired during production when the piñas are roasted underground. Mezcal works great as a replacement when cocktails call for tequila, so get creative and you just may discover a new favorite drink.
