The name of Liz Rose may not be as well known as her music, but heard through many other names, her music is just as sweet! This Dallas-born, Irving-raised hitmaker has co-written some of the biggest country songs of the 21st century. Because of her Texas ties, she’s donating memorabilia and performing this weekend at one of Irving’s hidden gems, the Music Garden at the Texas Musicians Museum, an intimate, laid-back outdoor pavilion.
Liz has co-written Grammy award–winning songs for Little Big Town (“Girl Crush”) and Taylor Swift (“White Horse”), plus a number of Swift's best and biggest early hits. These include "Teardrops on My Guitar” and "You Belong With Me," whose shout-along refrain was named Billboard’s 20th-best chorus of the entire 21st century. Her songs have sold more than 20 million copies combined. This year, Rose has stepped into the spotlight with her first-ever solo album, Swimming Alone. And you get to hear her this weekend, right here in her hometown.
