Nothing says summertime in the south like fresh grilled, blackened or fried catfish! Irving offers several places where you can load up on this soul-comforting classic. Whether you want to enjoy it as a po’ boy, on a bed of french fries, or as part of a seafood platter, check out these spots in Irving to get your catfish on! Pass the tartar sauce, please!

Fish City Grill

7750 N MacArthur Blvd #160

One of my favorite spots in Irving for fresh seafood is Fish City Grill. There is always a great menu with an array of seafood options with daily specials. Their catfish comes fried, blackened and grilled. Go for the whole fish, or get half and load up on their amazing sides and appetizers like the lump crab cakes, a cup of gumbo, apple cider coleslaw or their delicious summertime favorite, shrimp, watermelon and arugula salad.

Definitely the first place you think of when you want Cajun food in Irving, and for a good reason. Razzoo’s Cajun Cafe is the perfect spot to load up on catfish and other flavorful, southern favorites. While they are serving up the classic fried or blackened filets, try their menu specialty - Jalapeño Catfish served over rice with creamy jalapeño cheese sauce. For a more hearty and finger-friendly option, order the catfish po’ boy with a toasted bun, lettuce, tomato, onion and pickle with a side of Cajun seasoned fries and jalapeño hushpuppies. Also, don't miss Razzoo's Fat Tuesdays this summer with all-day deals. For a limited time, you can grab a bite of the bayou for just $5 every Tuesday.

Red Hot & Blue - Irving, TX

5910 N MacArthur Blvd

While you may be heading to Red Hot & Blue for some killer BBQ, don't miss out on their amazing catfish dinner. The Delta Plate comes with two hand-breaded and fried fillets, with a side of hush puppies, coleslaw, tartar sauce, and fries. This Memphis-style restaurant is a great spot to enjoy blues music and amazing southern recipes.

The Ranch at Las Colinas

857 W John Carpenter Fwy

You know you can always turn to The Ranch at Las Colinas for fun, fresh and creative southern and Texan dishes, and their catfish creations are no different! Go for the classic Cornmeal Crusted Catfish with caper-dill tartar sauce and hand-cut fries. Or for a lighter fare, try the Blackened Catfish & Gulf Shrimp with sausage jambalaya and cilantro basmati rice. Enjoy these meals on their summer-ready patio, lively bar room or formal dining room. The Ranch also makes it easy to order for to-go and curbside! Just pull up to the giant fork out front.

The Green Gator at Toyota Music Factory

340 West Las Colinas Boulevard #100, Irving, TX 75039

Want to feel like it’s Mardi Gras every day of the year? Head to The Green Gator for good times and a great meal. Whether it's for happy hour, dinner or all-day weekend fun, The Green Gator is frying up some delicious catfish and pouring out tasty daiquiris to transport you to the streets of New Orleans.
