Warm weather and locally crafted beers make the perfect match for this time of year. Enjoy sipping brews on some of Irving’s best patios and restaurants. Craft beer can be defined as coming from a brewery or microbrewery that produces small amounts of beer and is commonly independently owned. Cult following and general local pride have formed around craft breweries for they tend to have constantly changing flavors, unique brewing techniques, and lots of enthusiasm for their product. Texas - specifically North Texas - provides no shortage of local craft beers, and several restaurants in Irving are proud to pour you a pint! Check out these awesome spots in Irving for craft beers.

The Ginger Man Las Colinas

5250 North O'Connor Blvd #146

Can’t decide which one to choose out of over 50 in the beer book? Then go for a flight of beers at The Ginger Man, which features unique brews from around the world and around Texas. First, you must decide between draft or bottled. Then pick your favorite variety: cider, wheat, hoppy, dark, or sour. The Ginger Man is the best place to relax lakeside at Water Street for people-watching or just soaking up the sunshine. The menu is already set to compliment your beer of choice. Try the Jumbo Pretzel or Loaded Waffle Fries to start, then dive into one of their piled-high sandwiches or savory entrées. Also, be sure to visit them for brunch on the weekend and enjoy a coffee or milk stout with some classic sweet and savory breakfast dishes.

Whether enjoying dine-in or to-go from the market, Nosh & Bottle is the perfect spot to load up on your favorite Texas craft beers! While fun games and colorful lanes are what come to mind when considering Pinstack, do not skip out on their incredible food menu and drinks that include a great selection of craft beers. Scan over their draft beer list and you will spot several local Texas breweries that are guaranteed to pair with the great times you will have bowling with friends, escaping aim at laser tag, or walking tall on the high ropes course. A visit to Pinstack can easily turn into an all-day event full of fun, friends, and memories to last.

The Ranch at Las Colinas

857 West John Carpenter Fwy

Known for its local selection of produce and spirits, The Ranch at Las Colinas is a great place to enjoy a craft beer from the Lone Star State. With one of my favorite patios in Irving, enjoy your brew outdoors under the sun, by the fire pit when the sun goes down, or indoors to catch a live music performance. There is no guessing that your beer of choice will be local with The Ranch’s great menu. It lists the brewery name and the city from which it originates. Make your visit truly Texan and pair your craft beer with some delicious appetizers. For example, the Chef’s Favorite 4 includes Queso Blanco, Mini Elk Tacos, Branding Iron Onion Rings, and Fried Green Tomatoes. Or dive straight into entrées that never disappoint your taste buds, like the charbroiled Angus Filet, Shrimp and Grits, or Smoked Fried Chicken, all sourced from local Texas farms.

Whiskey Cake Las Colinas

3225 Regent Blvd

Draft, bottles, or flights, Whiskey Cake Las Colinas has your local beer! An Irving favorite and memorable dining experience for locals and visitors alike, Whiskey Cake offers an incredible brunch, delicious dinners, and a great happy hour. Try the Local Flight and you will get to sip on four Texas-favorite craft beers. Or if you are a more seasoned beer connoisseur, try the Hop Head Flight which features four IPA style Texas brews. Pictured above is the summer seasonal favorite, Funnel Cake Ale from Community Beer Company. It's the perfect pairing for their famous dessert, aptly named Whiskey Cake - featuring toffee torte, Bourbon Anglaise, spiced pecans, and house-made vanilla whipped cream.
