Citywide Egg Hunt
Date: April 8th
The (Easter) hunt for Irving family fun starts and ends here. Grab the Easter baskets and tell the kids to put on their running shoes. Join the locals at Heritage Park for the city’s biggest Easter event, when the City of Irving hides 20,000 eggs filled with goodies like candy and toys. The event, open to children ages 10 years and younger, also includes cool craft activities, a petting zoo, bouncy houses and photo ops with the Easter Bunny.

Irving Concert Series – The Sounds of New Orleans
Date: April 14th
The N'awlins Gumbo Kings
Lay out a blanket, pack a picnic and get ready to dance under the stars to the upbeat tunes of New Orleans. The six-member N’awlins Gumbo Kings is known for bringing swinging, soulful energy to every crowd with their vibrant arrangements of New Orleans jazz.
Every year, the outdoor Irving Concert Series showcases performances from musicians from across Texas. This year, experience a collection of music from The Big Easy, from big brass, to Cajun, to jazz. Shows run 7-8:45pm. Parking and admission are free. Bring a picnic or purchase authentic Louisiana eats.

Night Hike on Campion Trail
Date: April 14th,
Get up close to nocturnal nature with a guided night hike at Campion Trail, a beautiful native forest and beautiful greenbelt located along the shores of Irving’s Trinity River’s Elm and West Forks. During this easy and exciting trail experience, you’ll explore the sights, sounds and smells of nature at night and learn more about Irving’s native wildlife.

Canal Fest
Date: April 22nd, 2-8 p.m.
One of Irving’s most-loved events, Canal Fest vibrantly celebrates cultures from around the globe with dance, art, music and food. Stroll along the banks of the serene Mandalay Canal, savor authentic eats from local food trucks, rent a paddle board or pedal boat, and enjoy the performances by dancers and musicians showcasing cultures from around the world. Free admission.

Volunteers of America Texas Shootout
Date: April 22th-30th
Marvel at the skills of the top ranking female golfers in the world as they compete at Las Colinas Country Club for a $1.3 million purse. This exhilarating event is the only LPGA tournament in Texas and attracts international media and supporters. Soak in the sun and mingle with other golf enthusiasts at the evening Grill & Chill, explore the golf expo and bring the family to the Junior Golf Clinic. Enjoy free admission on Tuesday for practice rounds and Wednesday for an exciting Pro-Am event.

Arbor Day Celebration
Date: April 29th
Join Irving to celebrate the best gift from nature – trees! Experience all that’s awesome about trees and learn what makes them so vital to your life and the rest of the world. Sip on tree saplings, chat with tree experts, mingle with other outdoor and nature enthusiasts, and enter to win one of many complimentary trees.
