Celebrate Veterans Day In Irving

Thursday, November 11, 2021 6:00 AM by Carol Stoddard

Americans love, respect, and honor our troops all year round. However, each November, we set aside a special time to honor the sacrifices our brave military veterans have made.  Originally called Armistice Day, Veterans Day falls on the anniversary of World War I. The holiday was renamed in 1954 to honor the service of all military members.

Remembering Freedom in Irving

Tuesday, May 25, 2021 1:00 PM by Carol Stoddard

As we emerge from our pandemic isolation and start traveling again, connecting with loved ones after a long and isolated separation, remembering our freedoms this year takes on a whole new meaning. Freedom encompasses so many aspects of our lives that we can't begin to recognize or appreciate fully the joy that comes with it, until it's gone. This year we invite you to celebrate with us in Irving on Memorial Day weekend through various activities across town. However you choose to remember your freedoms, Irving can help you along the way.
