Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) provides both bus and light rail service in and around Irving. To travel easily between Las Colinas, the Irving Convention Center, University of Dallas, and more, jump on the DART Rail Orange Line at the Las Colinas Urban Center Station, located near the shores of Lake Carolyn. DART’s dozens of bus routes run all through Irving, so it’s easy to jump on and off anywhere it’s convenient.

APT

If you’re in Las Colinas, feel free to take advantage of the Las Colinas Area Personal Transit System (APT). This user-friendly people-mover will take you to many popular destinations in Las Colinas. And what’s more, when you arrive at the Las Colinas Urban Center Station you can easily change to the DART Rail Orange Line.

Take some time to stop at California Crossing Park for a picnic before continuing your journey. Head over to Las Colinas to bike around Lake Carolyn and the Mandalay Canals, and make sure to stop and see the storied Mustangs of Las Colinas sculptures along the way. When you’re finished, simply drop the bike off at another docking station.

If you’re in the Las Colinas Entertainment District, another way to transport by bike is to hail a pedicab. To explore the city at a slightly faster clip, rent a shareable electric scooter from Bird or Lime. Both scooter-sharing companies are based in Dallas, but the scooters can also be found in Irving. Simply find a scooter, download the associated app, and you’ll be on your way to scooting all over Irving.
