A Closer Walk with Patsy Cline - The musical by Dean Regan follows Patsy Cline’s climb to stardom from her hometown in Virginia to The Grand Ole Opry, Las Vegas and Carnegie Hall. A tribute to Patsy’s spirit and a celebration of her music – the production features such timeless classics as “Crazy,” Walkin’ After Midnight, “Sweet Dreams,” She’s Got You, and “I Fall to Pieces.” Last weekend tickets were a hot item and went fast, so be sure to get your early, the show is running all weekend long at the Irving Arts Center. “Negroes and Cadillacs: An American FolkTale”, Irving Black Arts Council

When: Sunday, Feb. 21 at 4 p.m.
Irving Black Arts Council presents this annual Black History Month program in collaboration with the City of Irving. “Negroes and Cadillacs: An American Folktale” will feature Mr. Robert L. Haynes, Curator of the Interurban Railway Museum in Plano, TX. Mr. Haynes is former deputy director and curator of education for the African American Museum in Dallas, and former fellow at the Institution’s National Museum of American History.

Irving's Got Talent
Location: Irving Arts Center

When: Friday, 7-9 p.m.
If you want to see the talent of Irving, come out Friday the 19th to the Irving Arts Center, Carpenter Hall. The City of Irving’s Lively Pointe Youth Center presents Irving’s annual teen talent competition. A panel of judges will select winners in various categories. The audience votes on the best performance via text.
