Children of the Night 

October 20-22, 27-29 | MainStage 222, 222 E. Irving Blvd | 7:00 p.m. 
It doesn’t get much better than this dark comedy at MainStage’s outdoor stage just in time for the spooky season. “Children of the Night,” a play by George Morris and Joel Frapart, tells the story of Grimlocke and his three daughters. Like any vampire, Grimlocke is ready to be an empty nester, but first needs to find a way to get his daughters out of the house. You won’t want to miss this 3-act play for a night of laughter… and a little bit of blood. Tickets are available here.

 

Eerie Irving 

Saturday, October 22 | Trinity View Park, 2221 E State Hwy 356 | 6 p.m. 

If you’re looking for an excuse to break out your costume early, Eerie Irving at Trinity View Park is the place to do it. The family-friendly event will feature several interactive walk-through experiences from a graveyard to a haunted wedding chapel and, of course, zombies. Attendees can also enjoy a variety of carnival games, rides, photo ops, and food options for purchase. 

 

Candy Trail featuring Haunted Halls

Saturday, October 22 | Valley Ranch Association, 8830 N MacArthur Blvd | 6 p.m.

Put on your walking shoes and hit the trail, the Candy Trail that is. The annual free event is back this year with carnival games, local vendors, and of course, plenty of treats. For those looking to add a little bit of a thrill, Haunted Hills is just your ticket. For only $5, attendees can wander the haunted halls of the Valley Ranch Association office.

Have some scary good poetry? Join Dallas Youth Poets at Lively Point Youth Center for a night of Halloween fun, poetry readings, and a costume contest. The free event can be joined in person or via Zoom.

 

Sailabration: A Yacht Rock Halloween

Kick off your Halloween weekend by dancing the night away at Sailabration: A Yacht Rock Halloween at Texas Lottery Plaza. Yacht rock tribute band, The Windbreakers, will be rocking out to the best of 70s and 80s tunes. Make sure to bring your best costume for a chance to enter the event’s costume contest. Proceeds of the Sailabration will go to Irving Cares, a local non-profit that provides assistance to Irving residents in need. 

 

Scary Movies at Alamo Drafthouse
