Summer starts early in Irving, Texas! In celebration of National Travel and Tourism Week (May 6-12), we invite you to enjoy the sights, tastes and sounds of all the new offerings in Irving and revisit some Irving mainstays.
Tour our Town:
Get out with family and friends and enjoy our fun city like a Texas tourist. Visit any of these suggested venues and get social with us by posting your photo and using #VisitIrving. Each time you post a photo tagged #VisitIrving at one of these hot spots; you’ll be entered into the “Tour our Town” contest (one entry per venue). Prizes will include a staycation at the Four Seasons Resort, Toyota Music Factory concert tickets and gift cards to our favorite eateries. A winner will be announced Monday, May 21.
Check out Big Beat Dallas in the Toyota Music Factory! If you thought the New Orleans' French Quarter was the only place you could wander by foot with a drink hand, think again. You can visit any of Big Beat’s venues sipping your favorite craft cocktail. Plus, half-price happy hour starts at 3 pm and goes til 7 pm at Bar Manzanilla, Highway 61 South, Texas Jam House, and Texas Lottery Plaza.
Movie & Music Monday Motet Madness
Another Manic Monday? No way! Relax and unwind at the Alamo Draft House for the latest flicks, with food and drinks served directly to your seat. Then head next door to the FREE Monday concert featuring The Motet at Texas Lottery Plaza. They say... don’t mess with Texas, mess with Monday Motet madness! Don’t know the band? … You’ll want to! They sold out the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheater.
El Famoso, in the new Water Street development, serves up California-Style Mexican in Texas with west coast versions of street tacos, enchiladas, rellenos and one monstrous burrito. It’s festive atmosphere is perfect for a fun Taco Tuesday!
Wine Down Wednesday
When the pizza-making is put on hold while new coal is added to the oven for that authentic coal-fired taste – Grimaldi’s in the all new Toyota Music Factory offers a discount on select appetizers and cocktails including $3 of glasses of wine, and $15 off bottles of wine.
At Southern Junction Live, they promise a "true" Texas experience to everyone who comes through the doors. Southern Junction isn't just a live music venue and dance hall, it's also a full-fledged steakhouse. Guests can choose to cook their own steaks on the indoor grills. On Throwback Thursdays there are Free Dance Lessons!
TGIFII - TGI Friday in Irving!
So many options to kick off your weekend! Might we suggest The Ranch where live music performances rock the stage on the porch every weekend and the food is to die for; Live @ Louie’s in the Toyota Music Factory.
It’s a whirlwind of activities in Irving – some of our favorites include Thirsty Lion Gastropub & Grill Brunch, a trip to the Irving Arts Center, water fun on the Mandalay Canal, a stroll by the Mustangs of Las Colinas and live music from 6 to 9 at OUTLAW Taproom at the Four Seasons Resort Las Colinas.
