WHO: NEEDTOBREATHE
WHERE: The Pavilion at the Toyota Music Factory
WHEN: Friday, Sept 28 @ 7 pm
COST: $69 - $170

NEEDTOBREATHE first began exploring their various influences back in the early 2000s, soon after the Rinehart brothers left their rural hometown of Possum Kingdom, S.C. In addition to releasing a half-dozen studio albums and one double live album, the band has devoted the last decade and a half to continually touring, building a devoted and growing fan base that has followed them from their early days playing small clubs to outdoor amphitheaters and arenas they sell out today.

Armed with a unique sound that has “carved out a niche in rock music” (Billboard) and had Rolling Stone dubbing the group “an anomaly in the pop music landscape,” NEEDTOBREATHE was championed by People magazine as “easy to love” for their unique mix of “infectious pop melodies to their signature Southern rock.” LEARN MORE

WHO: Lauryn Hill
WHERE: The Pavilion at the Toyota Music Factory
WHEN: Sunday, Sept 30 @ 6:30 pm
COST: $32.50 - $201.99

Ms. Hill grew up in a home where the sound of music was a household staple. She very early, probably in the second or third grade, discovered a treasure chest’s worth of 45 singles that belonged to her mother and father that chronicled the lives and careers of some of the world’s most renowned and soulfully successful musicians-from the offerings of Motown, Staxx, Atlantic, Capitol and Mercury Records, and the like. This love affair with music seemingly outside of her generational trajectory would extend in many different ways from jazz, to soul, to reggae, to rock to classical.

An eclectic appreciation and voracious appetite for good music trans-genre, Ms. Hill would establish her own categories that incorporated all types of unique and incredible sounds from both the past and the contemporaneous environment of her youth—this obviously included what was then known as hip-hop and R&B as well.  LEARN MORE
