The Hike

Konstatine Vilianatos

The Las Colinas Symphony Orchestra presents Konstantine Vilianatos on piano.  He’s one of Greece’s most talented young pianists and will perform Mendelssohn’s Piano Concerto No. 1 in G Minor.  Also, the LCSO will perform other pieces such as Bruckner’s Symphony No. 4 in Eb Major and Rimsky-Korsakov’s Flight of the Bumblebee.  It’s not to be missed.  Learn More

At the start of the summer in 1947, television was brand new, the sound barrier had not been broken, and baseball was a white man’s game.  By the time fall arrived, all that had changed.  Jackie Robinson became Everybody’s Hero as the first African-American to play major league baseball.  This play shows the events that shaped Jackie Robinson’s character, his struggle to gain acceptance, and the tremendous obstacles he overcame on his way to changing the face of our nation and our national past time.
