Casino Night and Poker Tournament

Where:  Las Colinas Country Club, 4400 N. O'Connor Road 75062
When: Friday, April 7 - check in begins at 6 p.m., play begins at 7 p.m.
Cost:  $50 General Entry, $150 for the tournament

Will Luck be a lady tonight? La Buena Vida Youth Leadership Foundation says, "Why yes, yes she will!" Just $50 will get you $1,000 in chips to play table games such as Blackjack & Craps, complimentary food and two drink tickets.  Bring your best poker face and reserve a spot in the tournament by donating at the $150 level, which includes $1,500 in chips, complimentary food and two drink tickets. Funds raised from the event will be used to help continue (and hopefully expand) the La Buena Vida housing program for homeless youths in Irving schools who need a safe place to live while pursuing their education. Yes, I'm talking about learning how to knit, crochet or even spin fibers into yarn. Offering a weekend full of classes like "Spin Like Spiderman" and "Making Shetland Lace Shawls," there's something here for the beginner and novice alike. The Islamic Art Festival

This art festival will be the first of its kind held at the Islamic Center of Irving. Wag, Walk & Roll benefiting the DFW Humane Society

This walk is completely unique from any other marathon or race.  There is no predetermined distance or time to walk, how cool is that?  You can come out and walk alone, with your dog, with a team, or for a small donation, you can even walk one of the shelter dogs.  It's all about raising money for the DFW Humane Society pets.  For over 50 years, the DFW Humane Society has been rescuing neglected and unwanted pets and giving them a second chance in life through adoption.  With absolutely NO state or federal funding, YOU make their work possible.  Learn More
