  • Everyone is welcome to support our Irving ISD students at the Nimitz High School Plant Sale and Pet Care Day.  Shop from native annuals and perennials, hanging baskets, ornamental grasses, herbs and veggies.  Bring your pets for low cost vaccines, pet adoptions, low-cost pet grooming, and more.  8 am - 12 pm.  Free.
  • Are you a scrapbooker?  Then come on down to the Irving Convention Center for the Stamp & Scrapbook Expo!  Hours: Fri - 9 am to 6 pm and Sat - 9 am to 5 pm. $8 with coupon.
  • Create your own handmade cards at Craftworks, West Library from 1 - 3 pm.  Free.
  • Get your picture taken with the Easter Bunny at Irving Mall.  Hours: Fri - 11 am to 8 pm; Sat - 10 am to 8 pm; and Sun - 12 pm to 7:30 pm.
  • Spring and romance are in the air! Visit with three award-winning Texas romance authors Lorraine Heath, Cindy Dees and Angi Morgan at the Valley Ranch Library from 6:30 - 8:30 pm.  Free.
  • Kids ages 6-12 are invited to celebrate the beginning of Spring at a Spring Dance.  Northwest Park Recreation Center.  6:30 - 8:30 pm.  $5 per child.

Saturday, March 24

  • Make plans to enjoy a free, fun, family experience during the Citywide Egg Hunt at Heritage Park.  There'll be more than 20,000 toy- and candy-filled eggs, a petting zoo, craft activities and bring a camera for free photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny. Egg Hunt times are: Ages 3-5 at 10 am; ages 6-7 at 10:20 am; ages 8-10 at 10:40 am; and children with special needs at 11 am.  Egg Stroll is for toddlers ages 1-2 accompanied by their parents and it's ongoing.  Free.
  • The Annual Islamic Art Festival is back for its second year with so much to see and do!  There's an art exhibit, free henna tattoos, live art demonstrations, food vendors, tours of the Islamic Center, and you can even get your name written in different languages. Islamic Center of Irving. 10 am - 6 pm both Saturday & Sunday. Free.
  • Irving Farmer's Market at the Irving Arts Center from 10 am to 3 pm is a place where you can go to buy from local farmers, artisanal food producers and crafts people. Free.
  • Kids ages 3 - 8 are invited to make yarn chicks, and kids ages 6+ can make fluffy yarn chicks at Michael's from 10 am - 12 pm.  Supplies are provided. $2 - $5.
  • Irving AMBUCS invites you to their Style Show and Brunch fundraiser at the Heritage Senior Center at 10 am. $15.  All proceeds go to the Irving AMBUCS Scholarship Fund. Tickets can be purchased at the door.
  • Have fun decorating eggs at the MAKEbreak Egg Decorating from 1 - 3 pm at Michael's.  Buy the eggs and the rest of the supplies are provided. For the whole family. 
  • Family Movie Matinee features Wonder at the Valley Ranch Library. 2 - 3:30 pm. For the whole family. Free
  • Cinema 13 features Home Again at the Valley Ranch Library. 4 - 6 pm  Free.
  • Child's Play features Irving Chorale's annual collaboration with Irving ISD's Elementary Honor Choir which re-imagines children's folk songs of years gone by at the Irving Arts Center. 7 pm. $8 - $15
  • Teens! Come to Teen Jam: Eggs 'N Jam to enjoy an evening of music, swimming and fun at the indoor pool at Heritage Aquatic Center.  Win special goodies and prizes during the underwater egg hunt, including candy and tickets to area attractions.  Complimentary pizza and soda will be served. Free admission with valid IPAR card or school ID. 7 - 11 pm
