Faster than you can shake a Polaroid picture, the weekend will be upon us. When making plans to capture the most fun, you should focus your sights on one of these events below. Clayton Gardner  Gus Samuelson


Two Mules Cantina at the Texican Court by Valencia presents Clayton Gardner from 8 - 11 pm on Friday, September 13. You can enjoy Tex-Mex flavor in both their food and their entertainment. While you're there, ask to take a peek at one of their guest rooms.  They'll take you back in time to Route 66 and the roadside motels of a bygone era.  Free admission.

On Saturday, September 14 from 8 - 11 pm, enjoy the sounds of Gus Samuelson at Two Mules Cantina. While you're there, you should try their Brisket Torta.


Darrell Goldman  Faron


The Ranch at Las Colinas hosts Darrell Goldman, a brilliant singer and musician leaving his own imprint on Country music.  His performance begins at 8 pm on Friday, September 13.  Free admission.

Faron Lee Gilbert returns to the intimate stage at The Ranch for his personal style of loop technology music. He performs at 8 pm on Saturday, September 14. Free admission.


Gulzar  Ballet Folklorico Mayahuel


FunAsia and HIBA Entertainment in association with the North American Society of Indian Muslims (NASIM) Foundation and the Kindness Abroad Foundation presents revered Indian film director, lyricist and poet Gulzar, performing along with a poet narrator and a group of musicians at the Irving Arts Center at 8 pm on Friday, September 13. Tickets range from $75 - $500.

Dallas-Mexico Casa Guanajuato is a non-profit organization with educational, sports and cultural programs. They present their annual concert event — Ballet Folklorico Mayahuel — accompanied by a Mariachi Trio at the Irving Arts Center at 7:30 pm on Saturday, September 14.  Tickets range from $15 - $20. 



DJ Ryan Kelley  Charlie J Memphis


Party on the Plaza presents DJ Ryan Kelley at the Texas Lottery Plaza inside Toyota Music Factory starting at 9 pm on Friday, September 13. Free admission.

The party continues with Charlie J. Memphis performing on Saturday, September 14 beginning at 8 pm at the Texas Lottery Plaza. Free admission.





One of Water Street's newest restaurants is The Ginger Man who specialize in quality beers from around the world. On Saturday, September 14 from 6 - 10 pm they're featuring RPM. Free admission.




Transportation Summit Tattoo Expo


The City of Irving recognizes that investing in transportation and infrastructure is integral in creating jobs and expanding economic development. Visit the Irving Convention Center at Las Colinas and attend the Transportation Investment Summit on Thursday and Friday, September 12 - 13 from 8 am - 5 pm to hear innovative leaders and stakeholders from the transportation and water industries, economic development, and local, state and federal government officials.  Tickets are $195 - $25,000. Registration is required.

Visit the Dallas Tattoo Expo and view the best tattoo artists from across the world all in one place at the Irving Convention Center at Las Colinas.  Showtimes are Friday: 3 - 10 pm, Saturday: 12 - 10 pm, and Sunday: 12 - 8 pm. Tickets are $15 - $40.
