2. Marvel at Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel: The Exhibition
Irving Mall, 183 N Belt Line Rd | Thu-Sun, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.This must-see exhibit is awe inspiring. With larger-than-life canvases, the panels of the Vatican's Sistine Chapel have been photographed in exquisite detail and placed on canvas for an up close look at Michelangelo's masterpieces. You can see brush strokes, cracks in the plaster and even where Michelangelo sketched out the composition before painting. If you've visited the Sistine Chapel in Italy, you couldn't possibly see the paintings up close like you can at this exhibit.
Each panel is accompanied with a story that's just as informing and delightful as the paintings. You won't want to skip the commentaries because they help you learn about Italian paintings of that era, the Catholic Church, Michelangelo himself, stories from the Bible (from which Michelangelo captured his subjects) and much more.
This exhibit, located at Irving Mall, is open from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Thursday through Sunday, ending on March 27. Tickets range from $12.10 - $24.50.
3. Run Your Luck at the St. Patrick's 5k Marathon

The race is coming up quickly, on March 12. Besides running in the St. Patrick's 5K Fun Run, you can also walk this scenic route through Las Colinas by way of the Toyota Music Factory. A portion of the entry fee goes toward a local charity, and you get cool stuff to take home. Not only do you get a performance T-shirt, finisher medal, race photos of you in action, a swag bag, two drink tickets for beer, (only after the race, you don't want the beer sloshing about), but you also get bragging rights. Yes, you get to casually drop it into a conversation that you've completed the latest Irving Marathon series race. How cool is that?

4. Hop Aboard the "On Stage at Heritage" Series
Heritage Park, 217 S Main St | Friday, Mar. 11 at 6:30 p.m.With free parking and free admission, you just can't pass up this family-friendly outdoor event at Heritage Park. The "On Stage at Heritage Series" presents Chaz Marie and her fusion of country, blues, R&B and rock vibes. Delivering a powerhouse vocal performance, she will have you grooving and moving. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets, and be sure to grab dinner at any of the downtown restaurants in the Heritage District.
There are picnic tables and play areas near the music pavilion. Concert begins at 6:30 p.m.
5. Live It Up at Texas Lottery Live!

On March 12 at 7 p.m., catch Reputation: A Taylor Swift Experience at the Texas Lottery Plaza. The band is comprised of five hardcore Swifties that bring two hours of Taylor Swift hits. General admission is free, but this concert also offers a VIP section for $30.80.

6. Book It to the North Texas Teen Book Festival
Irving Convention Center, 500 W Las Colinas Blvd | March 4 - 5The North Texas Teen Book Festival on March 5 from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. at the Irving Convention Center features over 40 authors, including Melissa Albert (Away For Now), Max Brallier (The Last Kids on Earth) and Kimberly L. Jones (You Broke the Contract). There's also author panels and signings, a full book store and swag shop, and more. Admission is free.
If you can't attend in person, there's a Virtual School Day on March 4, where you can attend the North Texas Teen Book Festival via their YouTube channel, starting at 7:30 a.m. Select virtual publisher booths and activities, attend a virtual panel and more.

7. Swashbuckle with Sherwood: The Adventures of Robin Hood
Irving Arts Center, 3333 N MacArthur Blvd | Friday - Sunday, Mar. 11 - 26Trying to restore justice in an unfair world, Robin Hood (Carlos Brumfield) faces many hijinks and sword battles along the way. This hilarious comedy from award-winning MainStage Irving-Las Colinas is packed with thrills, romance, laughs and all the Sherwood Forest characters. 8. Kid Around With Goat Yoga

Goat Yoga is just like yoga class but you're accompanied by a tribe of goats who graze and jump around you ... or on you. The one-hour class begins at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Mar. 6.
