Hello, fellow wine lovers! While the rest of the country is dropping to cool, fall weather, North Texas just hit our sweet spot for perfect patio weather! Warm enough to still enjoy a sundress and shorts but cool enough to not melt into a puddle of sweat! To celebrate seeing the low 80s and mid-70s in the forecast, this Wine Wednesday lets take a look at all the great patios in Irving to sip your vino. Now is the perfect time for outdoor dining, fresh foods, and refreshing wines!
The Lakehouse Waterfront Lounge
221 E Las Colinas BlvdThe newest patio oasis in Irving and the perfect spot for a glass of wine is the Lakehouse Waterfront Lounge located in the Omni Las Colinas hotel. The brand new addition to the hotel features multiple TVs, bar seating, poolside dining, firepits, and patio tables. Enjoy a glass of sauvignon blanc while enjoying the sunshine and people-watching along the shores of Lake Carolyn and the restaurants of Water Street across the way.
Pacific Table - Las Colinas
5238 N O'Connor Blvd #136
One of my favorite patios in Irving is at Pacific Table! Not only are they serving up incredible fresh seafood, but they have an amazing wine list that pairs perfectly with their breezy, lakeside patio. Enjoy the gorgeous fall weather on Wine Wednesday with a glass of chardonnay or pinot noir and my personal favorites, the tuna tartar, and miso salmon.
Cork & Pig Tavern
5224 N O'Connor BlvdAlways a favorite when asked, “where is a good restaurant with a patio?”, Cork & Pig delivers all the perfect ingredients for a meal out. Delicious food, a picturesque patio, and a great wine list to find the perfect glass make Cork & Pig a great option for this Wine Wednesday. Pair their steak salad with a bold cabernet, the truffle pizza with a pinot noir, or the double-cut pork chop with an oaky chardonnay.
Gloria's Latin Cuisine
320 West Las Colinas BoulevardFresh Latin and Mexican flavors at Gloria’s does not automatically mean that a margarita has to be paired. Some great wines that complement my favorite dishes like the red snapper tacos or Salmon Costeño are tempranillo, grenache, and light-bodies white wines. Enjoy Gloria’s relaxing patio that turns magical at night with open-air and string lights and say, “Cheers” this Wine Wednesday.
The Green Gator
340 West Las Colinas Boulevard #100While the go-to elixir at the Green Gator may be a daiquiri or southern crafted beer, there are some great wines on their menu that pair perfectly with the Cajun-spiced entrees. Located in the center of the action at Toyota Music Factory, enjoy the Green Gator’s patio while people watching the locals and tourists alike appreciate all TMF has to offer. For the delicious, flavor-packed dishes like crawfish etouffee or jambalaya, order a sauvignon blanc, pinot noir, or shiraz to compliment the meal without clashing with the powerful seasonings.
Mexican Sugar Las Colinas
3215 Regent Blvd, Irving, TX 75063An incredible new addition to the Irving restaurant scene, Mexican Sugar features an expansive, Instagram-worthy patio. Choose from the covered section or dine under the stars. They have an incredible cocktail and wine menu that will surely make you smile this Wine Wednesday. Pinot grigio and zinfandel pair great with their fresh, Mexican flavors.
The Ranch at Las Colinas
857 W John Carpenter FwyAlways a great patio complimented by their incredible, Texas local foods, visit The Ranch this Wine Wednesday! Stop by before 6 p.m. for happy hour deals on house wines and enjoy the sunshine. Try a Texas wine with fresh meats and cheese from the Lone Star state. The Ranch’s patio will definitely become your favorite place for fresh air, delicious foods, and great wine selections.
This Wine Wednesday lets get outside and enjoy this gorgeous Texas weather while it lasts! Cheers, y’all!
