Ladies, this one is for you! (sorry, gents)

Run Like the Wind

COVID-has put the brakes on many run/walk races over the last few months, but who wanted to run in the 100-degree heat anyway? Now’s your chance to start logging some miles again in cooler temps. Irving Marathon, in partnership with Olympic Day Irving-Las Colinas has three upcoming races: Irving Oktoberfest 5K (1-mile; 5K), which is a virtual run but has an in-person packet pick-up celebration this Saturday, October 3 at the Texas Lottery Plaza in the Toyota Music Factory where participants will enjoy snacks from Nosh & Bottle, beer from Reservoir and tunes spun by DJ Joe Vega; Turkey Trot (1-mile; 5K; 8-mile) on Thursday, November 26; and Irving Frost (1-mile; 5K; 10: and half-marathon) on Saturday, December 5th.

Get Winded

The Camp Gladiator community is sure to get your blood flowing as you take to the streets – well, really the parking lots of Irving schools, churches and rec centers. All you need is a mat and a few hand weights, and you can work out all of your stress in a fun, group atmosphere with 14 locations throughout Irving

Throwing a very sharp object at a target can be fun and therapeutic – for both your mind and your body. Head over to Stumpy’s Hatchet House (370 W. Las Colinas Blvd.; 972.954.2121) at Toyota Music Factory and just let it all go!

Row With the Wind

Mindfulness is key to improving both physical and mental health, so why not take a breath and take in a yoga, pilates or barre class at SunstoneFIT in Las Colinas (975 W. Carpenter Fwy.; 214.764.2119) Proven to help you reduce stress and sleep better, the classes can also help with weight loss and toning, pain management and athletic endurance.
