COVID-has put the brakes on many run/walk races over the last few months, but who wanted to run in the 100-degree heat anyway? Now’s your chance to start logging some miles again in cooler temps. Irving Marathon, in partnership with Olympic Day Irving-Las Colinas has three upcoming races: Irving Oktoberfest 5K (1-mile; 5K), which is a virtual run but has an in-person packet pick-up celebration this Saturday, October 3 at the Texas Lottery Plaza in the Toyota Music Factory where participants will enjoy snacks from Nosh & Bottle, beer from Reservoir and tunes spun by DJ Joe Vega; Turkey Trot (1-mile; 5K; 8-mile) on Thursday, November 26; and Irving Frost (1-mile; 5K; 10: and half-marathon) on Saturday, December 5th.
