One Last Weekend

Goodbye Summer my old friend. Our time together has to end. Another school year is starting. Summer faded while I was sleeping.  And a vision of the pool is all that's left in my brain, it still remains, I've got another year of homework.

My apologies to Simon and Garfunkel for stealing their song, but I know it's how we all feel.  We want just one more weekend of summer vacation before we head back to school on Monday. Wait, we DO have one more weekend. So let's make the most of it. Listed below are several events that will help to ease the end of summer and welcome the beginning of a new school year here in Irving, Texas.  For more area events, please visit our website at www.irvingtexas.com.

National Wine Day -- isn’t that a great way to kick off the Memorial Day weekend (which is also the official summer kickoff as a whole)? Whether you’re into the full-bodied reds, fruity whites, or sparkling Italian (perfect for the summer!), we could all agree that there’s a subtle warmth that only a glass of wine could offer. It’s elegant, smooth, but also light and fun, and for the love of vino! We will not let this great foodie holiday go to waste. Not in our city! So scroll down, read along, and plan your weekend of celebrating the fruit of the vine and welcoming summer in Irving. Cheers to that. ;)
