Thursday, August 16, 2018 1:00 PM by Carol Stoddard

Goodbye Summer my old friend. Our time together has to end. Another school year is starting. Summer faded while I was sleeping.  And a vision of the pool is all that's left in my brain, it still remains, I've got another year of homework.

My apologies to Simon and Garfunkel for stealing their song, but I know it's how we all feel.  We want just one more weekend of summer vacation before we head back to school on Monday. Wait, we DO have one more weekend. So let's make the most of it. Listed below are several events that will help to ease the end of summer and welcome the beginning of a new school year here in Irving, Texas.  For more area events, please visit our website at www.irvingtexas.com.

Live Music in Irving Texas: June 2018

Tuesday, June 5, 2018 10:00 AM by Visit Irving

Laid-back summer jams are on the live music lineup for Irving this June. Don’t miss concerts from chart-toppers like Post Malone and 21 Savage, performances from classic rock heroes Styx and Joan Jett, and, of course, country music. Plus, it’s your chance to experience the multicultural music featured at the annual Canal Fest.

Toyota Music Factory (TMF) has officially kicked off with its Grand Opening last weekend, featuring live performances by Brad Paisley and Keith Sweat. It was nice to boot scootin’ boogie to some country favorites, and then groove to the soulful R&B tracks. This is just the beginning for TMF of course, as chart-topping performers have already lined up to rock the stage of TMF’s The Pavilion throughout the year and beyond. On top of it all, most of the restaurants and bars scheduled to open here are already up and running! So if you haven’t been here before, read along as we reveal the 3 things you need to know when planning your visit to TMF!
