Thursday, August 16, 2018 1:00 PM by Carol Stoddard

Goodbye Summer my old friend. Our time together has to end. Another school year is starting. Summer faded while I was sleeping.  And a vision of the pool is all that's left in my brain, it still remains, I've got another year of homework.

Wait, we DO have one more weekend. So let's make the most of it. Listed below are several events that will help to ease the end of summer and welcome the beginning of a new school year here in Irving, Texas.  For more area events, please visit our website at www.irvingtexas.com.

Live Music in Irving Texas: June 2018

Tuesday, June 5, 2018 10:00 AM by Visit Irving

Laid-back summer jams are on the live music lineup for Irving this June. Don’t miss concerts from chart-toppers like Post Malone and 21 Savage, performances from classic rock heroes Styx and Joan Jett, and, of course, country music. Plus, it’s your chance to experience the multicultural music featured at the annual Canal Fest.

I once heard someone say, “Motherhood is powered by love, fueled by coffee, and sustained by wine.” This quote got me chuckling, but I don’t think it’s entirely true. We moms run on so many other awesome things that we might not always get, but we love so dearly like mani-pedis, chocolate, movies, and late night Netflix binge when everyone else is asleep. So to celebrate Mother’s Day this year, we’ve put together a fun itinerary, featuring some of the things mentioned above, for moms to make the most of the holiday in Irving.

Pastels, egg baskets, and pretty flowers are everywhere – you know Easter is just around the corner! One of our favorite traditions to celebrate this glorious Sunday is by savoring a great brunch at one of Irving's tasty restaurants. Emerging as a foodie haven, the city of Irving nestles a wide variety of restaurants to choose from. To make it easier for you, we’ve put together this awesome list of restaurants offering excellent brunch buffets for the holiday. Keep in mind that reserved seating fills up quickly, so read through this post and make your reservations ASAP!

Father's Day is this Sunday, if you didn't know! Wait, quick...where can I find a tie, wallet or something Dad-ish? No, no stop googling. Your Dad/Husband already has enough ties. Trust me, take him out to eat, enjoy some quality time together and make a few memories. We've gathered the top places in Irving to fill his belly this Father's Day. Come to Irving and enjoy some great food.
