(Visual Arts/Jewelry Design/Mixed Media)
Make jewelry not war! Strings of love beads are known as a traditional accessory of hippies and were worn by that generation as a symbol of peace, love and happiness. Campers will make their own handmade beads with molded polymer clay. Techniques will include marbling, mixing, rolling, slicing, and blending various colors. Beads will be used to create jewelry, collage and embellishments for other projects.
Andy Warhol & Pop Art Culture

Students will learn about the artist Andy Warhol and Pop Art culture of the 1960s and 1970s through various two-dimensional and three-dimensional projects.

Making a Scene with Peter Max
(Visual Arts/Drawing & Painting)
Peter Max is an American artist whose whimsical and creative style, bold lines and bright colors helped define the look of the 60s and 70s. Using a simplified style, brilliant colors and adding patterns and shapes to fill in spaces, campers will create landscapes, underwater settings and outer space scenes inspired by his work.

Time is on My Side: Kinesthetic Rhythm & Games
(Music & Movement)
This music class will get kids up and moving as they learn to read, write and perform rhythms through a variety of engaging kinesthetic counting activities, percussion exploration and musical games.

Groovy Stretch & Sketch
Artists and yogis of all levels will flow through Sun Salutations in this unique class that combines movement and drawing. Campers will travel in and out of traditional yoga poses, craft their own original poses and create a sketchbook to log their incredible journey as they learn to focus while building strength and flexibility.
