The National Multicultural Western Heritage Museum and Hall of Fame, formerly the National Cowboy of Color Museum, was founded to give recognition to the outstanding pioneers of the early American west.  The Museum was founded in 2001 by Gloria and Jim Austin to acknowledge the contributions of individuals of Spanish, European, Native, African and Asian descent in the settlement of the Western American Frontier.

There is a Hall of Fame and permanent exhibits featuring the Buffalo Soldiers, Tuskegee Airmen, Native American Indian Chiefs and the Vaquero.  Educational opportunities abound at the Museum for both children and adults.
