More InfoVisit Irving represents the city’s $3.4 billion-per-year hospitality industry community and welcomes more than four million visitors annually.
Our role is simple: to share Irving’s story and invite people to experience everything our city has to offer, whether they’re visiting for a weekend getaway, planning a meeting or event, or bringing a sports competition to town. We proudly serve visitors, meeting and event planners, and local tourism partners, working together to strengthen Irving’s economy and community through travel and tourism.
Our mission is to promote Irving as a premier destination to visit, meet, and compete, while supporting the businesses and people who make our city thrive.
Tourism plays a vital role in Irving’s local economy. By attracting leisure travelers, meetings, conventions, and sporting events, the Irving CVB helps generate overnight stays, drive visitor spending, and support jobs across hospitality, dining, entertainment, and beyond. The impact of travel reaches far beyond our hotels and venues. It helps fuel a vibrant, welcoming city for residents and visitors alike.
Funded solely by hotel tax collections, the Irving CVB connects corporate, convention, sports, and leisure visitors to our hospitality industry partners — the city's hotels, meeting venues, restaurants, attractions, and shops, as well as attractions throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth area. The strength of the visitor industry and the city's hotel tax collections also provide the funding resources for the Irving Arts Center and the Preservation and Redevelopment Program.
The Irving CVB markets the destination through targeted strategies designed to reach a wide range of travelers and planners, positioning Irving as an accessible, dynamic place to explore, gather, and compete.
We inspire leisure travelers by highlighting Irving’s unique experiences, attractions, dining, and events. Through engaging content, digital marketing campaigns, and visitor resources, we showcase Irving as an ideal destination for weekend getaways, family trips, and extended stays.
Irving’s central location, diverse venues, and strong hotel offerings make it an attractive choice for meetings and events of all sizes. The Irving CVB works closely with meeting and event planners to promote the city, provide destination expertise, and support the planning process from initial site selection to on-the-ground resources.
Sports tourism is an important part of Irving’s travel landscape. We actively promote Irving’s sports facilities and venues to attract tournaments, competitions, and athletic events that bring teams, families, and fans to the city, creating meaningful economic and community benefits.
At the heart of everything we do is collaboration. Visit Irving takes a partner-first approach, working closely with local businesses, hotels, venues, and community stakeholders to ensure mutual success.
Our team is always ready to serve as a resource, offering local insight, marketing support, and personalized assistance to tourism partners and planners alike. Whether it’s connecting the right people, sharing destination knowledge, or supporting promotional efforts, we’re here to help bring opportunities to Irving.
