Irving, Texas; Story was known as "Kit." for more than half a century, was a teacher for many years in the Irving Independent School District before becoming the district's first female administrator. A former vice principal at MacArthur High, Mrs. Story is the founder of the school's drill team, the Cardettes. At First Christian Church - where her husband serves as an elder in addition to his weekly gardening duties- Mrs. Story serves as a deacon and volunteer organist.
