IRVING, TEXAS (Jan. 8, 2008) - The Irving Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) has named Keith L. Station national sales manager for the sports and entertainment market, further strengthening its core team of sales management professionals.

Station comes to the Irving CVB from the Central Florida Sports Commission in Orlando, where he served as sports marketing manager. He was responsible for more than 20 events, and his clients included USA Rugby, USA Triathlon and the NCAA; the events he managed resulted in an economic impact in excess of $3 million for Central Florida.

Prior to join the Central Florida Sport Commission, Station held various positions with Florida Citrus Sports, which manages the Capital One Bowl and Champs Sports Bowl, as well as with the NBA's Indiana Pacers sports and entertainment division, and Walt Disney World Corporation. A graduate of the University of Nebraska, Station also earned a Master of Science degree from Indiana University.

"Keith has a very solid background in sports and entertainment marketing, and brings an impressive client base to the bureau," said Maura Allen Gast, executive director of the Irving CVB. "He will be able to jump right in and have an instant impact on our sales goals."

In his role at the Irving CVB, Station will oversee all sports and entertainment sales efforts, coordinate event volunteers, participate in sports and entertainment marketing meetings and trade shows, and establish relationships with key officials and decision-makers of national sports governing bodies, leagues, conferences and associations. He also serves as the bureau's chief liaison to entertainment market segments, including touring groups and individuals, and student bands.
