For the 32nd consecutive year, the City of Irving will roll out the green carpet for the PGA TOUR as the official host city of the AT&T Byron Nelson, set for May 28-31 at the Four Seasons Resort and Club. Jordan Speith, the 21-year-old Masters champion who is being lauded as the next Tiger Woods, will be in the field of more than 150 golfers competing for the coveted championship.

The city’s presence will be strong throughout the tournament with Irving Convention and Visitors Bureau serving as the event’s official social media sponsor. Social media users can follow @visitirvingtx for all of the fun on Twitter. One of the more popular social areas during tournament week is the Pavilion; after play ends a concert series, Pavilion After Dark, begins. The entertainment line-up this year includes Guys Night Out playing on Thursday; Mockingbird Sun on Friday and local favorite Le Freak on Saturday.

The AT&T Byron Nelson is one of the region’s biggest sports attractions and most anticipated social events of the spring. The tournament attracts more than 250,000 fans during the four days and generates $41.1 million in economic impact for the area according to a 2013 study. Hosted by the Salesmanship Club of Dallas, the AT&T Byron Nelson has raised more than $137 million since its inception in 1968, making it the most financially successful charity event on the PGA TOUR. All proceeds benefit Momentous Institute, the nonprofit powered by the Salesmanship Club for more than 90 years. The organization serves 6,000 kids and family members directly each year through mental health and education programs. For tickets and more information, visit attbyronnelson.org.
