It is officially Fall and nothing sounds better this time of year than cool weather and hot coffee! Irving offers a wide selection of coffee shops and restaurants serving up some serious caffeine. Whether you are an iced coffee year-round, straight black coffee, or pumpkin spice and everything nice in your cup, today, let’s all celebrate National Coffee day! Check out these awesome spots in Irving for your coffee fix today!
Pax & Beneficia Coffee
5244 N O'Connor Blvd #150, Irving, TX 75039Recently celebrating one year in Irving, Pax & Beneficia Coffee on Water Street offers delicious coffee from Texas’s favorite beans, Merit, and an inventive menu that will have you trying something new every time you visit. One of their most popular orders is Turkish coffee. Served in traditional cups and pot, it is prepared using very finely ground coffee beans without filtering. The taste is very concentrated with a dense texture and can be quite bitter, perfect for lovers of unsweet coffee. For those looking to cut the bitterness, Pax & Beneficia has an amazing selection of fresh-baked pastries! My go-to order: Iced cold brew with vanilla syrup and almond milk.
Nosh and Bottle Market
370 West Las Colinas Boulevard, Irving, TX 75039While many of us who have visited Nosh & Bottle may think of it as a great spot for wine, charcuterie, and live music, did you know they also serve amazing breakfast and brunch? Of course, no breakfast is complete without a nice cup of coffee to start the day and Nosh & Bottle is pouring it up hot or iced! Breakfast and cafe drinks are served all day so stop by and say, “Hi” to their incredible staff and pick some breakfast tacos and caffeine. My go-to order: Hot coffee with cream and the breakfast croissant.
Fiction Coffee
901 W Walnut Hill Ln #9, Irving, TX 75038The newest coffee shop to open in Irving, I am so happy to have this Dallas favorite in town! Fiction Coffee is located inside the Las Colinas VariSpace but is open to all. A large spacious seating area and patio guarantee safe social distancing. Fiction Coffee is known for its delicious drinks and always fun, relaxing atmosphere. From their website; “Fiction Coffee exists to strip down the pretentiousness of coffee and give everyone, no matter their level of coffee understanding or experience, the best quality of product that we can give.” They also feature coffee drinks inspired by everyone’s favorite fiction novels. This National Coffee Day, try the Lighting Thief which features hot or chilled drip coffee with honey-apple-orange syrup. My go-to order: made to order, Pour Over coffee.
Cuppa Espresso Bar
2435 Kinwest Pkwy, Irving, TX 75063Located inside the Irving Bible Church and open to the public, Cuppa Coffee serves amazing coffee however you like it; hot, iced, or blended. Cuppa has a very fun menu that is sure to make everyone in the family happy with their visit, including non-caffeinated drinks for the little ones. My go-to order: Coffee Frappe with no whip (perfect for a hot day and not sweet like the big coffee chain’s frozen drinks).
Zero Degrees Irving
3401 W Airport Fwy Suite 138, Irving, TX 75062While Zero Degrees offers a wide variety of delicious fruity teas and drinks, they also have some great coffee options! In honor of National Coffee Day, try their Coffee Horchata, Zero Coffee, or House Coffe. These will all come iced and are also available in half-gallon jugs to take home or to be the most popular in your office! My go-to order: Split-cup with Coffee Horchata and House Coffee and some garlic butter salt fries!
The Ginger Man
5250 N O'Connor Blvd Suite 146, Irving, TX 75039If you are not big on traditional coffee (or are a lover of it in all forms), try The Ginger Man in Las Colinas for their wide variety of coffee-flavored stout beers! This is a great way to celebrate National Coffee Day and the re-opening of The Ginger Man. Relax on their spacious lakeside patio for safe dining and say, “Cheers” to all things coffee today. Coffee stouts are also a great option for brunch at The Ginger Man if you are not into mimosas and Bloody Mary’s. My go-to order: Dragon’s Milk Bourbon Barrel Stout with a charcuterie board and jumbo pretzel.
Argentina Bakery
3401 W Airport Fwy, Irving, TX 75062Not only does Argentina Bakery have incredible cakes and pastries, but they also serve up some amazing coffee! They have a full cafe menu that all pairs perfectly with their famous Alfajores and puff pastries. Argentina Bakery is independently family owned and operated and a great addition to Irving, highly recommend visiting if you have not yet. The coffee house, international grocery store, and bakery all in one! My go-to order: Coffee of the Month with cream and a Dark Chocolate Alfajor.
Creamistry
5250 N O'Connor Blvd #140, Irving, TX 75039It may be Fall, but the temperatures have not fully dropped off yet. Enjoy the warm weather that is finally cool enough to enjoy being outside again with the always delicious Creamistry. They feature premium liquid nitrogen ice cream that is made fresh to order and is fully customizable. Vegan and non-dairy options are also available so all can enjoy! For National Coffee Day, order the Affogato, which is freshly brewed espresso poured over Madagascar Vanilla Bean ice cream topped with whipped cream and mini chocolate chips. Another great option is the Quantum Coffee with milk coffee ice cream, Heath®, almonds, caramel, and whipped cream, or if you feel like really celebrating National Coffee Day, order their Cappuccino ice cream cake with milk coffee ice cream and espresso cake with a coffee-infused, fresh cream frosting, garnished with chocolate-covered espresso beans. My go-to order: Milk coffee scoop with Biscoff® Cookies and caramel sauce drizzle.
The Thirsty Lion Gastropub & Grill
350 West Las Colinas Boulevard, Irving, TX 75039Did someone say coffee cocktails?! The perfect way to end National Coffee Day is with a cocktail from The Thirsty Lion Try an espresso martini, Irish coffee, or one of their specialty drinks like the Salted Caramel Moroccan Coffee made with 51 Rum, Kahlua, Irish cream, Buttershots, caramel, coffee, and Kosher salt. My go-to order: Drip coffee with Irish cream and Crème brûlée for dessert.
