The calendar year may be winding down, but there is no shortage of fun events in Irving this month. From holiday fun to networking opportunities and a little competition, there’s plenty to keep your calendar full for the last few weeks of 2022.

 

Parade and Tree Lighting

December 3 | Heritage District 

Christmas Parade

The festive Annual Holiday Parade will help kick off the Holidays at Heritage series of events this season. This year's Parade and Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place Saturday, December 3 at 6 p.m. Don't miss this year's "Irving's Polar Express" Parade as it lights the streets in Irving's Heritage District. 

Following the parade, visit Heritage Park for the annual traditional Tree Lighting Ceremony and activities until 9:30 p.mEnjoy photos with Santa, live reindeer, holiday-themed crafts, holiday photo opportunities, live music and food vendors. 

 

Annual Centennial Holiday Lights

December 3-27, Dusk-10 p.m. | Centennial Park, 444 W. Second St.
Irving Parade and Christmas Tree Lighting

The free holiday lights display affords a leisurely stroll through one of the jewels of Irving’s Heritage District - Centennial Park. The park is decorated with 60,000 lights on the fences, trees and bridge, an,d walkways are lit on each side to keep pathways visible for visitors after dark.

 

Las Colinas Holiday in the Plaza

Holiday Market

Sip, shop and play in a waterside wonderland at the 2nd Annual Las Colinas Holiday in the Plaza marketplace. This year’s event will be hosted on TWO days, Saturday, December 3 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and Sunday, December 4 from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.

Decked out in enough festive trimming and merriment that it could rival a Hallmark movie; you’ll find more than just the perfect gift at this holiday happening. Get ready to shop from 50 local retailers and vendors, snap your annual photo with Santa, ride the Ferris wheel, ice skate and so much more!

In lieu of admission, please help the Irving Police and Fire Departments spread cheer with their Blue Christmas drive and bring a new, unwrapped toy to help make the season brighter for local, underprivileged children. 

 

First Sunday Tour: Holiday Special

December 4 | Heritage House | 303 South O’Connor Rd

First Sunday Tour: Holiday Special

The Irving Heritage Society puts a holiday twist on its monthly tour of the Heritage House. Attendees can enjoy light refreshments while they take in the festive sights and sounds throughout the home. Tours are available 3-5 p.m. and are free to the public.

 

Digital Summit

December 7-8 | Irving Convention Center | 500 W. Las Colinas Blvd

Hear from some of the top marketing experts and creatives from brands like Kendra Scott, Spotify, and CNN, among others, at Digital Summit at the Irving Convention Center in Las Colinas. Attendees will have access to more than 30 sessions, networking and the option to expand their conference experience with Digital Summit’s Masterclasses. Pre-registration is available online and ends December 6. 

 

Battle of Texas

December 10 | Irving Convention Center | 500 W. Las Colinas Blvd

Texas’ biggest bodybuilding and fitness competition heads to the Irving Convention Center with the Battle of Texas. The full-day event is open to the public. Tickets can be purchased online. Prices vary; children nine and under are free.

 

Irving Frost Half Marathon

December 17 | Texas Lottery Plaza | 340 W. Las Colinas Blvd

Lace-up your running shoes for the Irving Frost Half Marathon at Texas Lottery Plaza. Whether you want to do a 5K, 10K, or go all the way with the half marathon, runners will enjoy scenic views of downtown Las Colinas and Campion Trail. The winter-themed event promises a fun morning, whether you're participating or you're cheering on your favorite runner from the sidelines. Registration is available online.

 

Raise a Glass to 2022 at the Four Seasons Resort and Club
