With the Irving Oktoberfest Half Marathon happening on Saturday, October 5, this weekend will be the perfect blend of fitness, festivities, and fantastic food. Sign up and pick your race, 13.1, 10K, or 5K. Registration prices increase on September 29th, so don't drag your feet! It's a fast and flat course and a whole lot of fun. Afternoon/Evening: Packet pickup for the Irving Oktoberfest Half Marathon takes place from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Omni Las Colinas Hotel. Kick up your feet and stay awhile at The Lakehouse. Turn it into a cozy evening with your running crew. After grabbing your race essentials, find yourself around a firepit overlooking Lake Carolyn, grab a light dinner onsite at Flossie's, and enjoy good company before race day. Morning: Time to rise and shine for the Irving Oktoberfest Half Marathon! Whether you're running, walking, or simply there to cheer on friends, this event is all about embracing Oktoberfest energy with a little exercise thrown in.

Afternoon: After the race, stick around for the Post-Run Party! This lively celebration is the perfect way to unwind after your hard work on the course. Don't miss the live performance by the Nitty Gritty Jazz Band, which sets the perfect vibe for the celebration, with refreshing beverages and food offering Oktoberfest-inspired bites. Whether celebrating with fellow runners or cheering on from the sidelines, this post-run party will keep the good vibes going all afternoon!

Lunch: If you're still hungry after crossing the finish line, head to Thirsty Lion Gastropub. The giant Bavarian pretzels there are legendary and the perfect post-race treat. Add a beer cheese dip and one of their many on-tap brews, and you’re all set.
