In August, the Original Sewing & Quilt Expo takes over the convention center. Eventgoers can enjoy a variety of classes and sessions that cover topics from embroidery to tips on finding your perfect-fit pants. You can even do some shopping! Staycation at The Ritz-Carlton Dallas, Las Colinas

The Ritz-Carlton Dallas, Las Colinas is the perfect place for a family weekend getaway or staycation. The hotel has partnered again with the Dallas Zoo for live animal educational programs that will entertain both children and adults. Irving’s Fourth of July Festivities
Heritage District & Levy Plaza
Celebrate Independence Day at the City of Irving’s Sparks and Stripes, which kicks off with the annual parade through Heritage District. Following the parade, cool off with a slice of watermelon and some live music at the Watermelon Social. Later that afternoon head to Levy Event Plaza for more live music, food trucks, and games. Make sure to pack blankets or lawn chairs to enjoy fireworks to wrap up the night! Free parking and event shuttles will be available at Williams Square Plaza. $10 parking is available at the Summit Parking Garage and at the 600 Las Colinas Parking Garage.
