Irving, Texas; Story was known as "Kit." for more than half a century, was a teacher for many years in the Irving Independent School District before becoming the district's first female administrator. A former vice principal at MacArthur High, Mrs. Story is the founder of the school's drill team, the Cardettes. At First Christian Church - where her husband serves as an elder in addition to his weekly gardening duties- Mrs. Story serves as a deacon and volunteer organist.

IRVING, Texas (August 2008) Irving Convention and Visitors Bureau executive director Maura Allen Gast, FCDME, has been elected chair of the Board of Directors of Destination Marketing Association International (DMAI). Gast was installed as chair at DMAI's 94th Annual Convention on July 30 in front of more than 1,200 attendees. She is the third woman to chair DMAI in the association's 94-year history.
