With the weather warming up, nothing sounds better than fresh air and fresh oysters! While we may be far from the sea, Irving still has some incredible oyster options to satisfy even the pickiest seafood eater. So all that is left to ask is, east coast or west coast? Check out these great spots in Irving to get your raw, Rockefeller, or fried oysters on!

When fresh seafood in Irving comes to mind, it has got to be Pacific Table - Las Colinas. Located along the edge of Lake Carolyn at Water Street, this picturesque restaurant is featuring some amazing foods and delicious cocktails. From the lush interior to the breezy patio, you can’t go wrong sitting anywhere in this gem. Fish filets and hand-rolled sushi may have your eyes, but be sure to start your meal with the delicious raw oysters. Flown in daily, choose from the sweet west coast oyster or the smooth east coast oyster, both paired with pickled onions and lemon slices. So refreshing and the perfect start to your day or evening with Pacific Table.

Green Gator - Toyota Music Factory

340 West Las Colinas Blvd #100

For delicious cajun cooking in Irving, head over to the Green Gator at the Toyota Music Factory. With Mardi Gras vibes all year long, Green Gator is the place to be for after-work happy hour, weekend brunch, or dinner out on the town! For your oyster kick, choose from a dozen or half dozen Charbroiled, Black and Blue, or Raw on the Half Shell. Charbroiled features chargrilled oysters with parmesan cheese and seasoned butter. Black and Blue will make mouths water with chargrilled oysters, blue cheese, bacon, and cajun spices. YUM! Keep the oyster trend going and order yourself an Oyster Po-Boy that comes with lettuce, mayo, and a side of Cajun Fries. Wash it all down with their famous Hurricanes or Mojitos.

Fish City Grill

7750 North MacArthur Blvd #160

The perfect laid-back seafood restaurant, Fish City Grill offers high-quality fish and delicious entrées. Oyster options are abundant at Fish City Grill. For an appetizer, start with something you probably haven’t tried before; the Oyster Nachos featuring fried oysters, chipotle tartar sauce, and fresh pico de gallo. For a more traditional oyster, try the fresh, raw oysters or chargrilled oysters with lemon pepper butter and parmesan cheese. For your entrée, try the Seafood Platter or Pick 2 Combo meal that features catfish, shrimp & oysters either fried, grilled, or blackened with Virginia’s Apple Cider coleslaw and fries.

The Ranch at Las Colinas

857 West John Carpenter Fwy

One of my favorite appetizers in Irving is the Cornmeal Fried Texas Gulf Oysters from The Ranch at Las Colinas. Topped off with smoked chile butter, tomatillo pico de gallo, chipotle remoulade, and microgreens, this dish will make even those who don’t like seafood say, “another please.” The Ranch is known for its fresh, local ingredients and the oysters are no exception. This appetizer is the perfect start to your truly Texas meal experience. Be sure to visit on a night with live music and sit under the stars on their great patio.
