After serving a more casual-leaning menu due to the pandemic in the past three years, the modern Mexican restaurant located inside the Westin Irving Convention Center at Las Colinas hotel, Mesa Mezcal, finally gets back to its roots with a new dinner menu.

The restaurant offers a unique taste on Mexican cuisine and is led by Executive Chef Robert Siguenza. He brings loads of creativity, taking an elevated approach to each dish and staking the claim that they’re more than just a hotel restaurant, but a culinary experience.

We savored each of the new menu items and were blown away by the taste and presentation. All ingredients and meats are locally sourced to create both healthy and savory dishes with flavors sure to impress you. 

The new menu features: mini chimichangas, spicy crab tostadas, grilled octopus salad, seared salmon steak, mezcal pollo mole, surf & turf, Chuleta a la Mexicana (Mexican-style pork chop), and tres leche cake.

As the restaurant name suggests, they’re also known for their extensive selection of mezcal and tequila. The Mezcal Paloma is a must-try, but you can’t go wrong with any of the crafted cocktails. Sip on a spicy marg or go for the flight to get more bang for your buck.

Come dine indoors or on the outdoor patio space any day of the week, and enjoy daily happy hour from 4-6 p.m. The restaurant also hosts a plethora of events weekly including Taco Tuesday specials, Friday Flight Night, and Rooftop Karaoke Nights on the last Thursday of the month.
