As soon as you feel that slight chill in the morning air, you know what it means: it’s time to start dreaming of apple orchards, pumpkin patches and falling leaves. We’ve pulled together some of our favorite things to do this October and November in Irving, so get the flannel out of the closet, grab a pumpkin spice latte, and head out to some fall events in Irving, TX!

Star Wars through the Years presented by Irving Symphony Orchestra

Star Wars lovers rejoice! Paired with a symphony, it will be quite the show. Come see for yourself, the concert will feature music from STAR WARS, RETURN OF THE JEDI, THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK, THE PHANTOM MENACE, ATTACK OF THE CLONES and the latest series: THE MANDALORIAN. Each of these films contains thrilling and brilliantly orchestrated musical scores. As the music plays you'll be visually entertained down memory lane with memorable images from this famous collection of cinematic history. It's a one-night show at 7:30 p.m. on October 23 at the Irving Arts Center, and it will be a perfect family outing.

Ghouls Sounds from the Casket Club

Audiences will have a chance to view three iconic silent horror masterpieces: Nosferatu, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, and The Hands of Orlac, alongside a live performance of a new, never-before-heard musical score accompanying each film! The event will culminate with a chance for the audience to make their own wild sounds on the musical instruments! Costumes are strongly encouraged. Grab your tickets for one of the four performances at MainStage 222, October 21-23 for $18.50 each or four performances for $35.

Eerie Irving

Looking for the things that go bump in the night? Come out to Eerie Irving at Trinity View Park on the eve before Halloween – Oct 30 – from 5-10 p.m. This year's event is FREE and costume-friendly. It will feature a walk-thru with a series of enclosed and open-air haunted scenes, including a meat factory, graveyard and ancient Egypt-themed room. For the younger ghouls and goblins, there will be free activities such as carnival games, rides, an escape room, pumpkin photos ops and more. A variety of food will be onsite for purchase. Stick around for a pumpkin giveaway at the end of the night, or win a mini pumpkin at select carnival games.
