Honor the true meaning of Memorial Day with Irving. On Sunday, May 24 we'll take a moment to salute our nation’s fallen heroes at a free Memorial Day service at 2:30 p.m. The event will include special speeches, a moment of reflection, presentation of colors, and a special performance of  “The Star-Spangled Banner."

Following the service, a reception will be held at Veterans Memorial Park, 644 Rock Island Road (located next to Central Library). The reception will conclude with a prayer, the playing of “Taps” and the laying of the wreath by Patricia. Bring the family and enjoy a ceremony to honor our fallen servicemen and women.
